Project 365 day 8: foggy and frosty
Every morning, when I get up, I go to my back door and spend a few moments with the view of the valley and the Downs. It's not the only reason we bought the house, but it was undoubtedly the thing which swung it. I love observing and documenting it in all kinds of light and weather, and watching the colours change through the seasons. This morning, the view was almost absent. Beyond the faint outline of the orchard gate, there was just a soft, fuzzy wall of light but opaque greyness. This was taken towards lunchtime, when the fog had thinned enough to leave the trees in the next field hazily visible, and the hedgerow behind a soft silhouette. The other side of the valley and the hilltops remained invisible all day.
