Grey Squirrel

Woke this morning to a light dusting of snow, although it was falling very lightly last night and so we weren't surprised to see it. It might be forecast from time to time doesn't often materialise.
As luck would have it we had booked ourselves an early slot at Charlecote Park again so when we arrived there weren't many people about and few human footprints to be seen in the snow.
The deer were close to one of the paths and we grabbed some photos of them but I haven't blipped one as I put a stag on quite recently. We then made our way to the West Park area and the herd of deer there was very large, as if all the smaller groups had come together in the cold weather.
No cafe open because of Covid so no hot chocolate to take away today I'm afraid. They say it might reopen in a couple of weeks, we'll see.
Close to the cafe is an area with bird feeders amongst the bushes and we came across a couple of squirrels helping themselves as they do! For once they didn't scamper off as we got closer so we were able to take a few photos. As we know the grey squirrels were introduced here from North America and they have driven our native red squirrels from most areas of the country. Such a shame.
