Curlew

We were really surprised to look out of the kitchen window and to see about a dozen curlews feeding in the grass at the end of our garden.  This brings the total number of species of birds that I have seen in or from our garden to 49.

It has been a cold overcast day and the pavements are very icy.  As I type this (14:20) it is snowing.
