Stanley Baxter was for me the King of Panto and always gave a 5 star performance. His pantos at the King's Theatre from the mid fifties to 1991 were legendary (generally a production was mounted in Edinburgh one year, repeated in Glasgow the year after (or vice versa) and latterly shared also with Sunderland Empire).
