I cannot believe that today actually happened!

.....well maybe I can!

When the team sheets were announced on Tuesday I was worried....sitting in my seat in the stadium I was worried.....at half time I was worried....and at full time my worst fears came true - a Scottish win against Ireland for 13 years! :( Ireland was a young team today that needed its old, wise hands back, some strange choices for starts - why the beloved Ronan O'Gara was benched as a sub I will never know!!! Missed opportunities and bad discipline worked against the Ireland team too, resulting in the first truly passionate legendary Murrayfield roar on full time!

A day I will never forget! At anthem time it felt like the whole country had answered Ireland's call to the Murrayfield battlefield! With amazing seats and an amazing Nations day Scot v Ire atmosphere - the scoreline should have been the other way, but lets hope for revenge next year at Aviva! It was also a privilege to watch Brian O'Driscoll play in what may be his last year in the team! :(

12-8....a scoreline that my Scottish friends will not let me forget for a long time!
