Hof ter Welle

Another grey day, but at least no rain. I managed a walk and decided to re-visit this former Nunnery & Orphanage in the town. That's the chapel facing us. I'll try to see the interior one of these days as it is now a museum. Quite why they needed a moat I don't know.

Later on a walk through the local countryside I came across a former railway station (Haasdonk, closed in 1984) but unbeknowst to me also the start to an old branch-line, now a footpath, which apparently went to a former Army Camp. More to explore here.
