Still Life

Still winter too. Snowy and messy and I'm sick of it! So I'm searching for colour indoors. The grapes are for snacks when book club visits here tomorrow evening. We'll be talking about The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry for as long as we can stay focused on the topic. Our conversations are all over the map.

I occasionally wonder if we're just a flighty bunch. So I feel better now that I've read Will Schwalbe's comment in The End Of Your Life Book Club:

"As in many book clubs our conversations bounced around between the characters' lives and our own.Sometimes we discussed a book in depth; other times we found ourselves in a conversation that had little to do with the book or the author who had sparked it."
