Long day back to work. If there is a lockdown it’s not alive and well in Midlothian as every single patient turned up for a routine non emergency eye test despite being told to stay at home and only to leave for essential travel.
Many still muttering about wearing masks which frankly make testing eyes a frustrating nightmare with lenses steaming up and limits what tests we can do, so hey ho. Understand we should be open for emergencies but that’s not who are coming to the door.
So a long and hard day back at work trying to stay safe but surprised by the lack of change in anyone’s attitude. Even Greggs had a long queue outside. Ignore and carry on seems to be the message taken from Nicola S’ dramatic broadcast yesterday.
Anyway, home for tea, a bit of telly and my good book which is a lesson to all of how to approach adversity.
