Stepping out in the woods

After another dismal morning weather wise, we finally enjoyed a few hours of blue skies and sunshine in the second half of the afternoon, and the four of us got out to enjoy it hiking at Rowe Woods. It was pretty quiet today, being a Monday, and most people back at work after the holidays. Much of the way, Philip and Laura were striding out ahead, and I liked this shot of them climbing up the hill, with the late afternoon sun lighting up the trees in the background. Philip made us a special dessert this evening, Tiramisu from scratch. He said he’s fancied trying to make one for quite a while, but since he’s single he doesn’t normally do much dessert making. It turned out very well and was really delicious!
