Festival of Lights

Late afternoon we went down to Cincinnati Zoo to see the Festival of Lights- reservations were required to limit numbers and masks were mandatory. We had hoped to see some of the animals before it got dark, and we did see a few - the African painted dogs were quite rambunctious and playful, we saw a cheetah and a lion, but others were in their indoor quarters. We were surprised we didn’t even see the red pandas, who are used to the cold, or the polar bears. Later we saw the giraffes in their indoor quarters, including the youngest, born last year. Whilst we may have been disappointed with the animal sightings, the lights did not disappoint, as you can see from my collage!
