Comic gold

K rescued this box from the bonfire when we cleared his Dad's house last summer. To much derision, I have to admit, from all present. The box has variously clogged up our dining room and the office for months.

He has, however been vindicated after finally listing the 1st two editions on eBay. It turns out that people are prepared to pay a decent sum for old comics that have been randomly stuffed into a cardboard box in a loft for many years. The eagle-eyed may notice that they are now suitably protected in document sleeves but they are only a recent edition.

Valuable lesson for budding hoarders. Edition 2 has turned out to be worth more than edition 1 - even with some writing on it. Obviously, more people think to keep the first edition.

It's not going to make us rich but definitely worth rescuing from the flames.
