Had a lovely walk with Misty in the Castlerigg area today, just the other side of Keswick.  Temperature just above freezing and a lot of the frost melting. Decided to walk up Walla Crag but silly me left my grippers in the car as didn't think I would need them.  It was initially ok but after a while it was quite icy and slippy so turned back.  Didn't fancy sliding downhill.  Still enjoyed the walk though.  The view is of Dodd, Skiddaw and Lonscale, you can just about see a bit of Bassenthwaite over on the left. Stopped off on the way home to capture the sunset which is in extras.
