So Far......... So Good....

This is my red gerbera that I brought home Pennsylvania  14 years ago.   It was frozen, badly by a really cold night here.  I believe the only thing that saved it was the sprinklers came on at 11:30 pm, for 30 minutes.   The water on the leaves froze, saving the bottom and roots of the plant.  After the ice melted, and after the dieback, and after a lot of trimming (by me), the bottom , thick trunkline part  has sent off some green leaves.  I am babying the plant through the winter, in hopes that it will survive to give me beautiful flowers, once again next spring.
So far............  So Good!
