A Gift.......

The day before Christmas, a packaged arrived in the mail that I opened Christmas Day.  It was from Roberta, the woman I helped after her husband suddenly passed.   She decided to leave OTOW and move to Tampa where her son and wife lives.  
      In the card that came with this gift she said she has made new friends, and is liking her new apartment in an Assisted Living facility.  She is very independent and doing lots of activities, sees her grand children and gets out on the provided transportation.
      The tree ornament was a Christmas gift to me.  She wanted to let me know how much she appreciated the help, the friendship, the listening ear, and the confident that I became as she tried to adjust to life without her husband of 35 years.
      I was very touched by this gift.  Sometimes the littlest of things means more than all the world when they come from the heart like this.
