Keeping Cosy

A day for resting and keeping cosy with your Christmas blanket - according to Merlin.

Overcast all day but it did stay at around 2 degrees which felt much preferable to the freezing temperatures of yesterday.

On our morning dog walk the streets were very quiet and many people looked to still be in bed. It was lovely - just us and the birds!

There were quite a number of fireworks going off last night so no doubt people were having their own small home-based celebrations to bring in the new year. We had a video call with my sister and family which was fun - Oliver showed us the 3-d puzzle of Hogwarts (Harry Potter) and the Lego crane he had constructed. Apparently he is now starting on his solar powered robot!

It certainly feels like the the village is in hibernation today, apart from some dog walkers and a few children playing football.
