The roads were far too icy to take the car out this morning!

So we walked from our cottage to the castle, then steeply up through five fields to Wood Hall on the Carlisle road.

Fantastic views of the snowy mountains!

Behind Cockermouth you can see Whiteside, Grasmoor and the Buttermere valley.
