Light at the end of the Tunnel

We had an early start this morning, the alarm was set for 5.30am as we had to drive to Calais in France for our Euro Tunnel crossing to the UK. It started snowing last night and was still snowing this morning, which was a bit of a worry, but fortunately it wasn't too bad. However, because it was so early, the roads were still covered with snow, and the motorway to France was down to one lane - after only 15 minutes, we passed the Police with a BMW that had slid and looked quite badly damaged!

I took a few shots on our journey but I like this one that was taken in a tunnel while we were still in Belgium - the blue light at the end of the tunnel looks like a picture of the rear view mirror.

Anyway, we made it to the tunnel ok and have finally arrived at mum's - the journey was fine, but there was a lot of traffic in the UK so we feel like we've been driving all day! Well Alan has, I slept on and off - but I did offer to drive and he said he was fine.

Tonight we're going to the local Italian restuarant with mum and then heading over to see Rachel and Scarlett tomorrow - I'm so excited to spending a week with them :-)
