Last Day of 2020

Dear Diary,

Finally, this horrid year is coming to a close.  Unfortunately, I suspect the New Year will be starting out just as bad as far as Covid 19 is concerned.  Nothing much will change for a while yet but I am, at heart, an optimist and I do believe better, sunnier days lay ahead.  I chose my tin sun on the wall of my studio for the final picture of the year partly for its symbolic nature but mostly because I love the shadows.  One of my favorite quotes is by Helen Keller, "If you keep your face towards the sun you won't see the shadows."  Here, I see both.  2020 was like that.
