Greater Spotted Woodpecker

The light was so beautiful this morning that I went out to the field a couple of times. The first trip was very cold and rather unsuccessful blipwise, but on the second attempt (when the sun had warmed things up a bit) I was lucky enough to spot the kestrel flying into a tree and I was able to get a bit closer and nab a decent shot before it flew off.  

That would have been my blip, but it got relegated into second place as an extra when I spotted the woodpecker clinging to it's branch - I haven't had a glimpse of woodpecker since March. It was seemingly spooked by a light aircraft and I got the flight shots as well...
