Stone Chat, Avalon Marshes
A peaceful walk this afternoon at Avalon Marshes . Stan had unfortunately failed his driving theory test for the second time and I had driven Paul’s Mum to Yeovil hospital for a pre- op’ assessment so a walk was very welcome .
It was really still there but lots of visitors taking advantage of a dry spell . We saw the marsh-harrier again and were really pleased to catch the murmuration of starlings before we left although we lazily watched it from the car park . It’s truly amazing .
When we arrived home we received a lovely surprise of a Treshnish Calendar from https://www.blipfoto.com/Treshnish.
Bad news we are now like so many in tier 4 .
Stan is taking it all very badly as it leaves him as a chef without a job at present and cancelled driving lessons . I do feel for our young people - he’s 24 and worries life is passing him by . Yes good news about the vaccines but they are not going to wave a magic wand by any means if you read the WHO assessment of them.
