Frosty Morning in the Garden

This was the scene which greeted me this morning. It was really frosty and the birds were definitely glad of the food which we put out for them . I took this through the kitchen window - the extra is from the patio . 
We had to go into Sherborne to get my glasses mended as I’d lain on them in bed. Fortunately the optician was really helpful.
We had a takeaway coffee by the Abbey in the sunshine. Back to the old routine ! 
On the way back to Milborne Port we popped into see Paul’s Mum who was getting ready for her operation next week but unfortunately she’d just had a phone call to say it was cancelled as Yeovil hospital is taking Covid patients from Kent ! So frustrating as she had just started to come off her medication to prepare for the op and at eighty- five these things are really stressful.
But as she hasn’t even had a letter about vaccination yet perhaps it’s just as well .
