Local graffiti

This is the second piece of cat graffiti I've seen by this artist in a couple of days. It's in Kolonaki where I often walk, always something new to see.

I got up to a dark room as my shutter door is stuck. The owners came this morning, and after investigating he produced a coat hanger, took it apart and created a hook end. After a few attempts and a change of strategy he managed to hook the chair and move it enough to open the shutters. Phew! Especially as it would've probably meant removing the doors if that didn't work.

I was free to walk then so into Kolonaki and then into the city. I spied some rings I liked, and will remember the shop.

I wandered home, feeling stiff, but grateful for my long walk. Cauliflower soup with turmeric, cumin and garlic was made for I had a cauli that needed using. It's amazing how a whole cauli can cook down to three bowls of soup only. Quite delicious, and healthy too. Followed by dates, a mandarin and Ferrero Rocher.

My taxi driver from Kw8 sent a message today - where are you? He's now made it back to Yemen which I was happy to hear. He went three months' ago. There is no work for taxi drivers in Kw8 and many are struggling to even cover the daily charge to their sponsors / or for taxi loans.

I haven't started marking yet, and while it's holidays, I don't want to feel swamped when I get back to work next week. But I'm tired..
