A Frosty Morning.

It is very cold today, but we have sunshine and blueish skies.

Today we had a long conversation with our Chinese son "Stein" who was speaking from his grandmother’s apartment in Shanghai.

He is well, and looking forward to his new work in 2021.

He voiced his bewilderment that the UK and America had not exerted sufficient leadership regarding the spread of COVID-19.

Conditions are normal in Shanghai. Everyone must wear a face mask when outside and using public transport. Everyone does.

Where further outbreaks occur the area concerned is "locked down". Personal freedom is not as important as saving lives.

Pat and I have curtailed our personal freedom to save our lives. We are fortunate to be able to do that.

It is becoming apparent that the low quality of much housing and inadequate policing of people especially in the Southeast is a major cause of the spread.

When will we learn?
