Edge Of Light
Soft pale afternoon sunlight danced across the ice formations along the edge of the shoreline and bounced off the frozen surface of the lake. I played around with this view under the willow tree, in near and far combinations, eventually settling on what originally attracted me: the light.
I quite like all the dead vegetation and bits of the willow hanging down, which are a contrast of texture and value to the cooler, smoother ice.
I enhanced the pattern of lights on the ice, especially the opaque formations, which weren't so obvious, by brushing with positive exposure in LR and also a touch in some areas of the weeds.
Extra: Translucent.
