Christmas Lights needed on the Forth Bridges?
A lovely Christmas Day. Unfortunately the rod that keeps the drinks cool was not put in the freezer, so no Christmas morning Buck's Fizz, but of course we have presents to exchange and open.
In the afternoon, eldest son says he will turn up at about 5pm for a short present exchange. So I go for a walk up through Swanston to the T-Wood, on my own, its not exactly festive weather, Storm Bella is on the way in and it is a tad breezy. From the T-Wood, the lights on the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing are flashing in sync. Can't help feeling that more lights on the bridges, especially if the Forth Bridge could also be included, would have looked pretty good. I walk around the trails back to Swanston, then home, where eldest son says he will now be with us between 7 and 8pm.
A nice quiet afternoon until we have our Christmas meal in the evening, with the Buck's Fizz. My eldest son turns up just as the pudding comes out of the microwave (does anyone steam them these days). So it is a short chat followed by serving warm (can't really reheat it) christmas pudding with a thick cream flavoured with Baileys. The Brandy is still there in the pudding.
Christmas night spent watching some tv. And a beer.
