More lights!
I failed to get a picture today, so it is one from yesterday evening. Today was one of those pottering, playing kind of days which are lovely because they are so relaxed.
I was up first in the house (which is kind of normal), so got in pilates and then a run - which I woke up a rather begrudging husband for as I didn't want to leave the eldest alone with the puppy. I have a January challenge from my sister to run 108 miles (there is a reason why it is such a specific amount) I think she thinks I need to get myself out more, and she is of course right. Anyway, I'm in build-up training at the moment, it annoys me, pre-children I could run a half-marathon any day of the week...
The boys have been playing so nicely this holiday, it's a real marked difference in them. The eldest hasn't always been great at playing, he always wants to be with someone and helping to do whatever is going on, so it's really good to see his imagination really starting to work. The youngest has the most amazing imagination (but not the common sense of the eldest!), so they are making a good team at the moment.
I also spent the morning building a marble run, nearly lost my marbles doing it, but wasn't going to be defeated...
The husband took the boys out to the park this afternoon, so I had a bit of time to myself, which was lovely, in a cleaning the house kind of way. I also found time this afternoon for some sewing, which was an unexpected treat - started and finished a project in just over an hour with no interruptions. Amazing.
Today I'm grateful for:
Our lovely neighbour who is being really supportive with our puppy (I think he's been there!)
A running challenge, it's great to have something to aim for and to keep me motivated
Lovely call with the husbands mother in Zimbabwe, we've been trying to get hold of each other since Christmas day and finally managed it today.
