Turn of the Year

The days are getting longer even if it is stretching things to say that I can tell.   The sunlight today seemed brighter, maybe it's absence recently creates that illusion.  It briefly lit this little crocus bud alongside which there are other shoots appearing.  I'd rather the weather stay cold for a few weeks now as mild weather will bring along flowers which need stronger sunshine to look their best.   Nonetheless, these little beauties are always welcome at this time of year.

A quiet day.  Only outing has been for the dog's benefit.   Relaxing is something I am rediscovering.  Life has been rather non-stop for a long time.
