Christmas Day 2020

In this very strangest of years we had a lovely day today in spite of everything . Mum and I attended our church’s’ online service at 10.30 then I came home to finish Christmas Day prep with N  before H and R and their new 4 legged baby arrived at about 1.00. It was odd ....all the siblings being miles apart and not being together but Zoom helped us feel together for a short spell which was lovely. Reassuring that N and A respectively on their own in Manchester and London ( due to Covid obviously) were cheery nonetheless.......us mothers always worry don’t we? Even when they’re long grown up. 
Our very bright spot was having H and N’s new baby Roddy with us....he is just gorgeous ! A loud voiced , talkative bundle of fun who would spend stretches of time playing and exploring then ( as all babies do) collapse in exhaustion:) We are all in love ! I think for me the interaction between him and mum was the highlight yesterday ....she played with him for ages and he even came up ,patted her face and curled up with her on one occasion:) The extra ( snapshot from a video) shows her joy :)
