I have done much cooking.
It was nice to make an effort, and it was a ‘no pressure’ effort. No one will taste it but us. There have been quite a few ‘firsts’ today... No Nine Lessons and Carols (I was sad enough). No clean bedclothes tonight (couldn’t be bothered). No bread sauce (ditto). No tree or lights (I regret that, in retrospect). But hey! There’s a bright shiny snowman bauble.
He has a lot of pressure riding on him tomorrow!
