Wrapping

Miss PHL managed to get a reasonable sleep and even felt up to a shower. She’s not eaten much but has been able to sit downstairs a couple of times today. She’s still quite uncomfortable and it’s not helping that the codeine is having a bit of an unfortunate side effect.

We had a surprise visit from young Mr PHL and his girlfriend with their puppy Henry. I’m afraid we broke the rules and had them in the house. It was a nice pick me for Miss PHL and we stayed apart during the short visit.

I took the puppy to the vet for a weight check and to collect his flea/worm tablet and we’ve apparently been overdoing the treats as he’s a little heavier than he should be. I guess we’ve not exercised him as much the last couple of weeks for a few reasons so will need to be more diligent.

Mr PHL is healing nicely and came back from having his dressing changed with the news that he’d had a honey potion spread in the wound.

I had a quick visit with my friend Susan and her puppy before heading gone to wrap presents. A takeaway pizza for tea hit the spot as did the lovely chilled wine.
