Twilight, Christmas eve.
We haven't been out for dinner all through the pandemic except when we were able to get away for a couple of days in October and our favourite restaurant, which fortunately is in Killyleagh and within easy walking distance, was open today so we booked a table for dinner - well it could have been classed as a very late lunch or a very early dinner. We spotted this hardy chap in his kayak as we walked home again, about 4:45. It was chilly, but not particularly cold as the breeze had dropped and everything was quite calm. Portaferry is clearly visible in the distance. What a fabulous way to spend Christmas eve, in the calm of a chilly evening on the Lough, though, if I'm being completely honest, I really preferred the way we spent the afternoon, eating gorgeous food and enjoying a glass of wine.
Christmas this year is so very different for everyone, so however you are planning to spend the day, I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas everyone xxxx
