Voyageant / Journeying
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.
What a mixed day...and what a long one.
Definitely should not have stayed out at the Bara'thon until the last tram home, even though it was most brilliant to be accompanied by the lovely Mathieu as we chatted and sang along Rue Saint-Pierre. Definitely felt the tiredness this morning after having to get into school for the 8am start! However, I don't think it showed as I got stuck in to helping the sixième INTER finish their e-books...sometimes you just don't realise how hard it is to spell certain English words from their sound until you watch someone else have to struggle! My second (and final class) of the day were the quatrième INTER, and we finished Tangled...much to the upset of all the class (inc. the boys!) and they are now on at me to find their next requested film. Surprisingly (or not), the film requested is 'Brave'...god knows how they are going to cope with the Scottish accents, but I'm always up for giving these kind of things a go!
So after the quick stop at school I headed back home to start frantically packing for home. Now normally I'm the kind of person that has made five lists and then one main checklist to make sure I have everything...this time I have been so busy I didn't do anything, hence the word frantically! I hope I haven't forgotten anything, but I guess even if I have there is not much I can do about it now...
So, the start of my epically long journey, think . Well, at least it felt like that! I started at 1.30pm (French time) in Caen, travelled via Saint-Lazare, Haussmann Saint-Lazare, Magenta, Gare du Nord, Charles de Gaulle before ending up back in my home at 11pm (English time). Pretty knackering is not the word! I managed to grab a few quick shots of April before heading to bed, as I have a job interview tomorrow for a summer job in France...did I mention the interview place is four hours' drive away too? Nothing like spending many hours in various forms of transport hey?!
Wish me luck...
