Arrochar Alps

We both slept in this morning and felt the better for it, drinking coffee in daylight made it feel like quite a different season. I spent the morning admiring the creations of a photographer who lives in Glasgow and is inspired by what she finds in the fridge - worth a look, my favourite is a hill walk in teacake, Jacki Gordon creations
After lunch I drove to Balgray Reservoir; the car park which was under construction on my last visit in May is now finished so no need to park in the nearby school, had I realised this I would not have waited for term to end. A good collection of swans, ducks including a merganser, and unfortunately evidence of blue green algae - it does look deceptively pretty. The highlight though was the spectacular views of Dumbarton Rock and to the Argyll Hills,  and further east (right) you can just see the snow on what I think is Ben More near Crianlarich.
