Halfway

Taken at the halfway point of my run this morning. The overall distance is almost halfway to my next goal.

This is the village of Newton Solney, which is the next but one village along from our village. It's another 3 miles into Burton and back via a very uphill/downhill/windy route. The view across the Trent valley probably would be worth it though and given the hilly route of the Birmingham half (yes I'm now considering a half this year) it would be great training.

Hubby has had a lumberjack day following the purchase of a new chain saw (the old one was part if the collateral shed flood damage) and we are well stocked with old roof timbers to put on the log burner - a good job given the temperature today
