The Morning After

Back to earth with a bump this morning tired and just the tiniest bit hungover. The day seemed to amble towards my 3:20pm appointment as Specsavers and then went downhill.
Summoned by text to collect my new glasses I watched as staff looked in different desk drawers, cupboard shelves and baskets for forty minutes before they told me; “we’ll give you a ring when they turn up”. They may get tomorrow and Sunday off but I’ll. be ringing daily from Monday.
