Not quite

Not exactly mono, not exactly a still life, not exactly festive . . . but it is red! 

Every year I hesitate about buying one of these and every year I give in, but me and plants of any kind do not get on, so it is unlikely to last any longer than usual. It will have its moment though. 

Ten days ago our daughter told us that the virus was spreading through Kent schools very, very rapidly. She was concerned, as were headteachers in the county. The government's answer - 'all schools must be kept open'.
Now it is being hinted that the new variant transmits faster amongst teenagers . . .

Our daughter has just told us she has tested positive for Covid.

Chaos everywhere. We shopped today. Why did I feel guilty buying toilet rolls - which we needed?
