Instead of sending Christmas cards in our church you can donate to Christian Aid and write a message which is pinned to the railings, sending messages of goodwill not just to the congregation but to the community and passers by.

This evening the sky was clear so I looked for the great conjuncture or “Bethlehem Star” as Jupiter and Saturn align. Apparently tomorrow is the best view but I do not know what the cloud cover will be. I looked in the approximate south west direction. All I could see was in the extra: hand held and on maximum zoom. I’m not entirely sure what I should be seeing so here’s hoping. I won’t be around in 800 years or so when the next one happens.
