Derelict Steps
Harper's Ferry, West Virginia is a major stop on the Appalachian Trial and is almost at midpoint: 1000 miles from the start in Georgia, and 1200 miles from the end in Maine. These steps are actually part of the trail and are currently undergoing restoration.
We were suffering from nearly terminal Cabin Fever so decided to take a ride to Harper's Ferry. It is only about an hour from home. Unfortunately, there were more people there than we would have liked and some were not masked. We stayed off the beaten track and had a nice hike around the town before heading home. It did wonders for us.
Since I still have 34 extra shots left for the year, I will upload a few others from this outing. If you have the time, take note of the front door with the signs outside, which appear to be changed every day. Goodbye 45!...my sentiments exactly. The other shots show the Harper's Ferry Train Station, the train tunnel and just a few shots taken with a Lensbaby Sweet 80.
