Aligned Planets

Not the most of aesthetically appealing photos (!) but it is a record of my achievement of the afternoon which was to dig up a huge rhubarb root at my allotment.  I think it had been dumped in a compost heap many years ago and left to grow and grow....  I have 3-4 sacks worth of woody root to dispose of and I've planted out 6 small pieces of the rhubarb in another part of the plot as it felt wrong to get rid of it all.  The large rhubarb that is still in place will be left for now as I am hoping it will provide us with a good supply of rhubarb for puddings come the spring.  The collection of spades and bits and bobs were discovered in the soil as I dug!

As I sit and look out at the clear sky, I can see Jupiter and Saturn lined up - Jupiter (the biggest planet in our solar system) is underneath Saturn.  They are actually hundreds of millions of miles apart.  So special to be able to see them so clearly, especially given all the cloudy skies and rain we have had of late.

Wishing you a happy Sunday evening.
