The Red hydrangea gift ...
The bush is blue all summer and flowers prolifically. In autumn it turns a beautiful deep red .
The bush grows in my neighbours garden and when I admired it, she suggested I cut some of the heads .
I made this posy today to give her, using some seed heads I had saved from our trip to Uist , a gathering of other dried material , and berries from our garden.
I enjoyed today - delivering a few "thankyou' Christmas presents to neighbours and friends.
Although it was really stormy and the rain lashed against the windscreen, there was a vivid red glow across the water that was worthy of a detour to enjoy. What a wild evening it was here!
An extra photo of a wintery sunset.
