Decorating the tree

I went up to the Mairie this morning to have a conversation with the accountant and the deputy mayor to try to resolve the difficulties with the payment of our grant. They were very helpful and later in the morning I had a call saying from the grant authority asking to hold fire on all the steps that we were advised to take as the auditors may finally be happy with all the documents we have already sent. I went back home via the village square. The children had been let out to watch the decorations being put on the tree and put some of their own on the lower branches.
