From the dark corner.....

Goodness me! What a big one!

Yes I know I'm asking for trouble. It was a freezing and miserable day but at least I was relatively cosy at home. I filled up one of the feed trays with bird nuts at lunchtime and saw the squirrel taking a flying leap off the shed roof onto the top of the feeder five minutes later. I'd never seen a dizzy squirrel before but he looked slightly drunk when the feeding pole had stopped spinning him round. That was about the only excitement of today.

The window cleaners called soon after midday. Nothing like Joe in Ayr! These ones don't use ladders any more. It's probably a combination of health and safety and getting cheaper insurance if they just use long poles. Or, maybe they are just scared of seeing sights in people's upstairs windows? Well I don't know!

Anyway, I didn't ask the one doing my side of the street if I could take his picture. He was talking on his mobile phone the whole time and I didn't fancy interrupting him! It was easier to sneak upstairs and catch the fellow doing Chainsaw Mustang Man's house opposite as he mercifully wasn't there and wouldn't see me spying again. How do you clean windows properly with those big brushes and you can't see where all the crusty bird shit bits are?

Oh well. Other news today was that I rang the Ayrshire Post to place a memorial dedication for a couple of weeks time on mom's instructions as the year anniversary is fast approaching. £67.80 for a few 'In loving memory' type words! Dad would have had a fit! I would say he would be turning in his grave but I expect he just shuffling a bit in his scatter tube on the mantle shelf. I'm sorry Dad :-(

Track? No great link today I'm afraid. This cheery nonsense number was being played by Caroline on Radio WM as I was taking my picture. She asked listeners for music that made them smile. I hadn't heard this for a while - T-Rex - Jeepster
