The Lesser Spotted Welsh Budgie!

I was struggling to keep my eyes open an hour ago and dozed through recorded episodes of Dinner Date, Dallas and Hollyoaks. Life is too short to watch them again so I am writing my blip with heads flying in the background - Spartacus War of the Damned. It's quite dreadful but strangely addictive.

I didn't see a soul all day which was quite good as I was able to power my way through loads of things. I took a break in the afternoon and shocked to see and hear an ice cream van going round the bottom of the road, I got myself ready in the porch with my camera poised to catch him as he went past me on his way back out. Unfortunately, he didn't get any customers - it was bloody freezing! - and Mr Whippy shot past me at about one hundred miles per hour and I only got a cloud of dust in his wake when I pressed the button. Lovely picture of the house opposite though. It's a shame that 'Chainsaw Mustang Man' was glaring out of his front window at the time wondering why the mad woman opposite was taking a picture of his house (again). Cringing, I fled back inside.

Thank heavens there was a bit of action on one of my bird feeders! The suet balls are finally proving popular but because it was quite windy and there were three of these little chaps swinging on it, this was the best I could do. I checked in my lovely bird book FrankS got me for Christmas and then I asked on Twitter to ensure they were House Sparrows. I was told yes, but then IanO came to the rescue and said it was the Lesser Spotted Welsh Budgie! Hooray! I was going to really struggle to find a House Sparrow track. As it is....
