Not so Little Green Men

A special day today - met AnnieBScotland, in my hometown Glasgow, to view F2's, Colin Templeton's exhibition at Glasgow Arts Club. Hats off to Annie who saw a great bliportunity and blipped us both reflected in one of our favourite prints. I kept my camera in my bag till after our long lunch during which we chatted like we had known each other for years, good food and crisp white wine were consumed, I love Sarti's for the relaxed atmosphere!
Don't worry, I didn't have so much wine that I imagined aliens in Sauchiehall St, they were collecting for Red Nose Day.
Round the corner to another old haunt, the GFT to see the Irish Film Board documentary 'Men at Lunch', the story behind the iconic image of eleven iron workers lunching on a girder, 800 feet above ground during the building of the Rockefeller Centre. It was both interesting and moving, but hard to believe that only two of the eleven men were potentially identified, believed to be two men from a small hamlet in Galway. Even the photographer has not been identified. They all worked without safety lines and my stomach was lurching at many of the scenes.
Then off to Waxy O'Connor's for more conversation before home. A great day out with a lovely person.
Stopped off for coffee at a friend's in Falkirk on the way home.
Thanks, Annie for suggesting the film and congratulations for getting my image on blip, for only the second time.
