Late Colour

This morning, buoyed by the hope of having some sort of normal Christmas, I baked the savoury scones we traditionally have with the bubbly on Christmas morning. They're safely in the freezer now.

When the rain finally relented this afternoon we took it in turns to do our 100 laps of the garden. Just as it was getting dusky and I was about half way through my walk, the only patch of blue sky all day momentarily let the setting sun perform this trick and produce the only bit of colour all day.

In more good news, Kate was feeling a bit better by this afternoon, still coughing well but not so sore and feeling a bit more energetic. Hopefully she's on the mend.

Today's lockdown LP was U2's The Joshua Tree. Here's "Where The Streets Have No Name"
