advent calendar 16......

....and carols on the doorstep.....

In Shrewsbury, Shropshire, an age old carol service wasn’t able to happen in the usual way, ....so a lady copied carol sheets and distributed them through letterboxes in the street where she lives, with the suggestion of singing carols together on the doorstep....this grew and became a county wide occasion,.......so tonight BBC Shropshire broadcast this an hour long ......and we joined in....
As you see the staff here all dressed for the occasion and handed out mince pies and mulled wine.....all was done more or less with social distancing and covid secure of course....It was a lovely time of togetherness........and celebrating Christmas...
