Alison

My friend Alison finally gave me permission to blip her! She has been a staunch supporter of my journal from the beginning and always shows an interest in my blips and their comments.

Alison was the first librarian when Drymen Library opened, and was my boss when I got the job of Saturday assistant there until she retired in 1998. She had been brought up in what-was-then Rhodesia, so, with my roots in South Africa, we always had an interest and shared memories in common.

Since Alison retired, we have met regularly for lunch and today we chose the Drymen Inn, opting for the brie-filled strudel with char-grilled courgettes and tomatoes with a chilli-flavoured sauce. Very tasty it was too.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
