The Golden Tree

A quiet day, but for a trip to the post office to send off some parcels from photographic equipment I'd sold.  It was rather trying having to stand outside for almost half an hour waiting for the queue to go down, especially with three heavy boxes in my arms.

I popped out again just before sunset and enjoyed a lovely hour with this gorgeous light.  The sunset itself was a bit of a damp squib as the sun went behind clouds as it set, but it's exciting when the colours are this vibrant in the few minutes before, particularly with the inky skies.

Technical: I used a 2 stop hard graduated ND filter across the shadow line to control the bright light of the mid ground and sky. Other than that just basic sliders were used to enhance what already looked good out of the camera.
