Reid's Palace, Madeira

This is a sneaky peep through the railings. It is the grand old dame of Funchal hotels and a friend and I have decided to go there for the famed Afternoon Tea next week. Apparently it is 32.50 euros But worth it I'm sure

My sister in law, brother in law and friend have gone on a Levada walk. They wouldn't take me with them. They say they wouldn't know how to get me home if I couldn't manage it. (My new hip etc).
Commercial companies weren't so pernickety.

I was a bit miffed. But I've had a lovely morning. Amazing how a credit card can help :-).
