Evening view
A bit of an odd day - we collected the kids from school 2 hours early as each had their appointment at the Police Commission to get their new identity cards. Because of Brexit the paperwork for how foreigners are documented has all changed. Danny's been absolutely amazing in getting all the forms done, copies of various paperwork, money paid etc etc...because of his hard work today was smooth and both kids are now in the process for their TIE cards. It helps too that we've been here over 5 years and got our original documents sorted quickly upon arrival in Spain. It was smooth but still took quite a while to do. We went to Burger King for a celebratory lunch (they have veggie options for Asha!). Later we got a call saying Nate and a parent need to self isolate for 10 days as one of his classmates has tested positive. So he'll need a PCR test in the next few days. Apparently Nate and a parent have to remain in one shut room, how is that possible?! We've decided we'll just isolate as a family and steer clear of people for the next 10 days.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Posting more cards.
2) Danny's work behind the scenes so that today's meeting was smooth and calm. Official stuff here can be super intimidating.
3) Stef getting to the UK safely.
